RUTHERGLEN APEX PARK

Public BBQ

Rutherglen Apex Park sits on the corner of Murray and High Streets, just a two-minute walk from the main street. The park features a large playground, skate park, and a small bike track with traffic signals that keeps kids entertained for hours. A big undercover BBQ area with tables provides plenty of shade, making it popular for family gatherings and birthday parties. The lawned areas are well-maintained and surrounded by large established trees offering natural shade. Clean public toilets are available on site, though they could use some updating. The park includes off-street parking and connects to walking paths around the adjacent lake, where visitors can sit and listen to birds. The BBQ facilities are kept spotless, with the area generally very tidy and rubbish-free. Views over the lake add to the peaceful atmosphere. There's also a small ANZAC memorial worth seeing. It's a practical, family-friendly spot that delivers exactly what's needed for a day out with kids or a casual barbecue lunch.
